On 21st September 2024, Earth Animal (AUINT) conducted an information session for the community of Eungella and the surrounding areas, which are being negatively impacted socially, environmentally and economically by the ill-located proposed Pioneer Burdekin Pumped Hydro renewable energy.
The area targeted is part of a 20 million year old ancient rainforest, full of threatened and endemic species, both flora and fauna, and pristine water ways at the highest level of conservation.
